SBC Deaths
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Doris Cutter Swann, longtime editor for the former
Southern Baptist Sunday School Board, passed away Dec. 20. Swann was a graduate
from Louisiana College in Pineville and was employed with the Louisiana Baptist
Convention for 10 years before traveling to Nashville, Tenn., to work for Southern
Baptists there. Earlier, she had served as educational secretary at Highland
church in Shreveport. Memorial contributions can be made to Louisiana College
in Pineville. Swann was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Swann.
