Cedric Murphy was one of three winners of the 2016 Louisiana College Pastoral Ministry Award of Excellence. Giving him the award was Philip Caples, associate professor in Christian studies at Louisiana College.

Louisiana College honors three pastors during Pastors’ Conference

During the Pastors’ Conference, Louisiana College enlivened the proceedings by recognizing excellence in the pastorate, within groupings of worship attendance up to 100, 500 and more than 500. The winners were, respectively, Cedric Murphy, pastor of Providence No. 1 Baptist Church, Ethel; Steve Armstrong, pastor of Westside Community Church, Addis; and, Brad Jurkovich, pastor of First Baptist Church, Bossier City.
