Early voting will begin Sept. 28 and continue through Oct. 5 (with the exception of Sunday, Sept. 29.
Individuals can register to vote at the following locations:
- Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles;
- Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services;
- WIC offices;
- Food stamp offices;
- Medicaid offices;
- Offices serving persons with disabilities such as the Deaf Action Centers and Independent Living Offices; or
- Armed Forces recruitment offices.
Races on the October ballot include governor, lieutenant governor, secretary of state, attorney general, attorney general, commissioner of agriculture and forestry, Board of Elementary Education, sheriff and all state legislative seats. The election will also include races on the local level.
Meanwhile, those who do not want to vote early can register online until Sept. 21 to vote on Oct. 12 in the statewide elections.
