March; they cooked meals for hurricane Katrina volunteers and assisted

SIMPSON – Simpson church: Partnered with East
Leesville church and went to Santa Adelaiba, Mexico in April; 39
people, led by Chad Martin of East Leesville church, assisted the
organization “Friends of Jesus International” with a sewing ministry,
construction, teaching of how to do vacation Bible schools, ladies’
Bible study and nightly worship services; 11 salvation decisions
were made; Gil Arthur, pastor of East Leesville church; Paul Watts,
pastor of Simpson church.

DRY CREEK – Curt Iles resigning as camp manager of
Dry Creek camp to focus on his writing and speaking full time;

DEQUINCY – Leonard C. Guillott, 83, died April
12. Guillott served in t he gospel ministry 57
years and pastored several churches in Louisiana before serving as an
institutional chaplain for 16 years. He is survived by his wife,
Waldine Robertson Guillott, two sons and one daughter.
