1. Associational Representation on the Executive Board
That Article X, Section 2 of the LBC Articles of Incorporation be amended as follows:
Article X, Section 2. The Executive Board shall consist of one (1) member from each association having a minimum of seven churches with an aggregate church membership of at least one thousand, plus one (1) additional board member from each association having as many as ten thousand (10,000) church members, and an additional board member for each additional five thousand (5,000) church members of such associations; provided, however, that not more than seven (7) members from any one association shall serve simultaneously as members of the Executive Board.
2. Salaried Employees and Board Service
That Article IV, Section 10 of the LBC Bylaws be amended as follows:
Article IV, Section 10. No salaried employee of this Convention and its boards and committees shall be eligible for service election as a voting member of boards or committees of this Convention except as provided in the constitution of the Convention or these bylaws.
3. Committee Duties
That Article III, Sections 4 and 7 of the LBC Bylaws be amended as follows:
Article III, Section 4. The Committee on Order of Business shall be composed of seven (7) members and the person designated to plan the Convention music. It shall present to the opening session of the Convention for adoption a recommended agenda for the Convention sessions. The committee shall recommend to the Convention the preacher and music leader for the Convention meeting one year hence. The committee also may tentatively enlist Bible study leader and major speakers for Conventions scheduled up to three years in advance. (See 1971 Annual, page 187. The Convention amended these bylaws by deleting the Committee on Memorials with the stipulation “that the responsibility for this task shall be assigned to the Order of Business Committee to handle at its own discretion.”)
Article III, Section 7. The Committee on Convention Arrangements shall be composed of seven (7) members. The Committee shall be responsible for recommending to the Convention the preacher and music leader for the Convention meeting one year hence and the host, the meeting hall or church, and the dates for the Convention meeting two years hence and, if feasible, for three years hence. This Committee shall work with the executive director, Convention president, and chairman of Order of Business Committee to see that the work of local committees and Convention Committee is coordinated and guided to make adequate preparation in advance for the comfort and convenience of the Convention and its members during its annual meeting.
4. Loan Approval Policy
That Article V of the Business and Financial Plan be amended as follows:

Article V. Recognizing that all obligations of the agencies and institutions of the Convention are moral obligations of the Convention itself, it is to be understood that except by authority of the Convention or Executive Board, no liability or indebtedness shall be created by an agency or institution other than those that can be repaid from anticipated receipts for operating purposes and/or capital needs within a period of three years from the date such obligations were incurred.
